Eddie and Tara Archer, Executive Directors, Owners

2016 Professional Achievement Award presented by the Beard Center on Aging at Lynchburg College, awarded Raspberry Hill Adult Daytime Center the Outstanding Contribution to Positive Aging in Region 2000 award!
Raspberry Hill was born out of a calling—one that began in 2011 in our home with a simple but powerful vision: to care for people with compassion, dignity, and excellence.
As a family-owned and operated organization, Raspberry Hill has grown into both a trusted Adult Daytime Center and a respected Healthcare Training program, serving our community with heart and purpose for over a decade.
A Foundation of Experience & Compassion
Tara Archer, RN, has served in healthcare since 2001, beginning as a CNA and gaining extensive experience in nursing homes, hospital care, ICU, Med-Surg, acute rehab, and adult day services. Her passion for whole-person care led her to pursue advanced certifications, including:
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP)
- Certified Dementia Montessori Practitioner
- Integrative Medicine Functional Practitioner (IMFP-C)
Tara has also played a key role in developing and teaching healthcare training programs, including building online learning systems to equip and empower future caregivers.
Eddie Archer, RN, has been a nurse since 2008, with broad experience across hospital settings and patient care environments. He also holds certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and has served in both clinical and leadership roles throughout his career.
Together, we have worn many hats—caregivers, educators, business owners, and leaders—always committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Our Mission Today
At Raspberry Hill, our mission is to serve seniors, families, and future healthcare professionals with excellence, integrity, and compassion. We are committed to creating a warm, family-like environment where every individual is seen, valued, and supported.
Expanding Into Pain Relief & Wellness
As we continue to grow, we are excited to expand into a non-surgical, Medicare-reimbursed pain management program designed especially for seniors. This approach offers a convenient and effective alternative to invasive procedures and heavy medications—helping individuals find relief and improve their quality of life.
Looking Ahead
After more than a decade of hands-on leadership, we are transitioning from our Director roles and raising up a strong team to carry forward daily operations. This allows us to focus on vision, growth, and expanding innovative services like our pain management program.
Family at the Heart
At the center of it all, we are a family. Tara and Eddie have been married for 30 years and are blessed with two grown children, a wonderful son-in-law, two grandchildren, and three beloved dogs. Our values of faith, family, and service are woven into everything we do at Raspberry Hill.

Gini Simmon
My name is Gini Simmons. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare, working in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long‑Term Care, and Home Health. My background is in Recreational Therapy, with a focus on wellness and the holistic aspects of senior care—encouraging independence and adapting environments to help individuals remain at home as long as possible.
I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) as well as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and I have spent many years educating healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members on best practices in dementia care. Empowering others with knowledge is at the heart of my work.
I came aboard as Community Outreach, but I am now transitioning into the role of Center Director, where I look forward to supporting our team, our families, and our participants in an even deeper way.
I truly believe that knowledge is power, and with empowerment comes self‑confidence. My goal is to support every individual who walks through these doors, whether they are family members or participants. Each person is unique, and honoring that uniqueness brings me joy—and that joy overflows my cup!
